CFL Recycling

While we all know that compact flourescent light bulbs are better for the environment, there is an issue with recycling due to the mercury content. Well, no more. Home Depot has set up recycling boxes for CFLs in all their stores across Canada. They'll recycle the bulb and dispose of the mercury safely. So next time you have a CFL burn out (however many years after you put it in the socket!) and you need to go to Home Depot for the replacement, you can bring the burned out bulb, seal it in the plastic bag and send it off to the factory. Nice!

Thanks for this one, Ecochick.
I'm going to add it to the 'Spring Cleaning' post at the Ask Around blog.
