Hey Toronto/GTA ecochicks, do you know someone who has been an amazing influence on others in the area of living green? Then you should make sure that person gets the recognition they deserve by nominating them for a Green Toronto Award. The city of Toronto wants to recognize the people who are making Toronto a cleaner, greener and more liveable city. Individuals, organizations and companies are eligible to win. You can nominate someone in categories as diverse as Community Projects, Energy Conservation, Environmental Awareness, Green Design, Green Roof, Leadership, Market Transformation, Water Efficiency, and Youth. The selected winners will be honoured at a ceremony in April in conjunction with the Green Living Show, and will also have a $5,000 donation made to a registered charity of their choice.But don't delay: The deadline is February 27, 2009 (tomorrow!)
