I've tried others (french roast, mexican roast etc) and was not extremely happy- but I do know that coffee is extremely personal :) before we discovered cafe femenino, we drank kicking horse coffee- also available in the maritimes. However- Just Us! was one of the first Canadian coffee roasters to go totally organic and fairtrade- and it was out of Wolfville! Uber Cool.
LisaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5711154317262732196.post-34822399893373125582008-07-16T11:33:00.000-04:002008-07-16T11:33:00.000-04:00Thanks for the info, everyone. This organization requires that women own the land and the coffee beans they grow, that women get paid 1 cent more than fair trade price, that they grow organic beans and that a percentage of the coffee sold in America goes to a local women's group. Other coffee roasters across Canada (BC, Montreal) also sell this coffee. If you're further interested there is a documentary on the topic. Peru is tasty!
Lisa (Halifax NS)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
